On the road to recovery, the people we support often face difficulties that no one could have foreseen.
Misha Lobanov has been through an incredibly hard journey.

He needed a bone marrow transplant because of adrenoleukodystrophy. Working together with the doctors, it was possible to stop the disease, but it had already caused serious complications affecting his movement and nervous system.

Misha needed long, demanding rehabilitation.
Step by step.

He worked very hard, and he succeeded. First he began to walk, and then he could even run.

But one awkward bend led to a fracture and another operation. Metal screws were placed in Misha’s hip joint. Sudden muscle contractions can now cause further falls and serious injuries.

To prevent this, Misha needs orthopaedic braces. These supports hold his limbs in place, steady his movements and help him move safely.
