Melania is a small, fragile girl with a frightening diagnosis: neuroblastoma. She arrived from Turkey, where she had received treatment for several months. In Israel, she was treated at Ichilov. We supported her family with food, medicines, clothing and everyday practical help. After treatment and tests, the Israeli doctors advised the family to continue treatment in America. We raised 18,000 shekels. With money remaining from an earlier fundraiser, we transferred 28,000 shekels to the hospital. We also fulfilled Melania’s birthday wish: a tablet and toys.
