Daily medical procedures take enormous courage from a child. Injections, dressing changes, examinations and other difficult moments become part of everyday life.
After a procedure, a child can choose a small gift from the “Bravery Box”. It might be a toy, a book or a craft kit. It also shows them that their courage has been noticed and supported.
The project currently runs at two medical centres in Israel:
- Soroka (Be’er Sheva): gastroenterology department
- Hadassah Ein Kerem (Jerusalem): bone marrow transplant department
Support the “Bravery Box” project:
- a regular monthly donation (link)
- a one-off donation (link)
We know that these small acts of kindness do not take away the pain. But they can help a child get through a difficult day with a smile and feel that there are people who care about their feelings.
